Dhaka Metro Rail

Dhaka Metro is a modern public transport system in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is also known as the Dhaka Metro Rail. The metro rail project was started to reduce traffic jams and make travel faster and easier for the people of Dhaka.

The first metro line, MRT Line-6, was opened in 2022. It runs from Uttara to Motijheel, covering many busy areas of the city. The trains are electric, fast, and clean. Thousands of passengers use the metro every day. It saves time and reduces air pollution.

The government is planning to build more metro lines in the future. When completed, the Dhaka Metro will greatly improve the transport system of the city and help people move around easily.

Dhaka Metro

Dhaka Metro, also known as the Dhaka Metro Rail, is a modern and efficient public transport system built to improve the transportation situation in the capital city of Bangladesh. Dhaka is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Every day, millions of people move around the city for work, education, business, and other purposes. Due to the large number of vehicles and poor traffic management, traffic jams have become a major problem in Dhaka. To solve this issue, the government of Bangladesh took the initiative to build a metro rail system.

The first line of the Dhaka Metro is known as MRT Line-6. It officially started operation in December 2022, and currently runs from Uttara (Diabari) to Motijheel, passing through important areas like Pallabi, Mirpur, Farmgate, Shahbagh, and Dhaka University. The total length of the MRT Line-6 is about 21 kilometers. The trains are fully electric and run on elevated tracks above the ground, which helps avoid traffic on the roads below.

The metro rail has brought many benefits to the people of Dhaka. Firstly, it has significantly reduced travel time. What used to take more than an hour on the road can now be completed in just 20 to 30 minutes by metro. Secondly, it is environment-friendly. The electric trains produce no smoke or harmful gas, which helps reduce air pollution in the city. Thirdly, the metro stations are clean, modern, and safe. There are security guards, CCTV cameras, and ticket vending machines at every station.

Each metro train has multiple coaches and can carry hundreds of passengers at a time. The trains are fully air-conditioned and comfortable for all age groups. People from all walks of life, including students, office workers, and businessmen, are using the metro every day.

The government plans to build more metro lines in the coming years, including MRT Line-1, Line-5, and Line-2. When all the lines are completed, the Dhaka Metro network will be able to serve a large part of the city and change the future of public transport in Dhaka.

In conclusion, Dhaka Metro is a big step towards building a smart and modern city. It is a symbol of progress and hope for a better and faster future for the people of Dhaka.

Grapes are sour

🍇 Short Story (100–120 words)

One hot summer day, a hungry fox was wandering in search of food. Soon he saw a bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine. His mouth watered and he jumped to get them. But the grapes were too high. He tried again and again but failed every time. At last, he became tired and gave up. While walking away, he muttered, “Those grapes are probably sour. I don’t want them.” In this way, the fox tried to hide his failure by blaming the grapes.

Moral: It is easy to despise what we cannot get.

🍇 Long Story (250–300 words)

Once upon a time, in a forest, a hungry fox was roaming here and there in search of food. It was a hot summer day, and the fox had not eaten anything since morning. While wandering, he saw a garden full of grapevines. His eyes sparkled with joy when he noticed a bunch of juicy grapes hanging from a branch.

The fox licked his lips and said to himself, “What delicious grapes! I must have them.” He jumped high to catch the bunch but could not reach it. He tried again with all his strength but failed once more. The grapes were hanging too high. He tried several times, running back and leaping forward, but all in vain.

At last, the poor fox became very tired. He sat down for a moment, breathing heavily. Then he stood up and walked away, saying, “Oh, these grapes are sour. I don’t need them.” In reality, the fox wanted the grapes badly, but since he could not get them, he pretended that he did not want them.

This story shows how people often criticize what they cannot achieve. Instead of admitting their weakness, they find excuses to hide their failure.

Moral: It is easy to despise what we cannot get.

Honesty is the best policy.

🌿 Short Story (100–120 words)

Once a poor woodcutter was cutting a tree near a river. Suddenly his axe slipped from his hand and fell into the water. He became very sad as it was his only tool to earn a living. Seeing this, the river god appeared and offered to help. First, the god showed him a golden axe, but the woodcutter refused, saying it was not his. Then, the god showed a silver axe, which he again refused. At last, the god showed him his iron axe. The woodcutter happily claimed it. The god was pleased with his honesty and gave him all three axes. Thus, honesty brought him reward.

Moral: Honesty is the best policy.

🌿 Long Story (250–300 words)

Long ago, a poor but hardworking woodcutter lived in a small village. Every day he went to the forest, cut wood, and sold it to earn his living. One day, while chopping a tree near a riverbank, his axe slipped and fell into the deep water. The woodcutter became very worried, as it was his only means of livelihood.

Just then, the river god appeared. He asked the reason for the woodcutter’s sorrow. After listening, the god dived into the water and brought out a golden axe. “Is this yours?” asked the god. The woodcutter shook his head and said, “No, that is not mine.” The god again dived and came up with a silver axe. The woodcutter again refused, saying, “This is also not mine.” Finally, the god brought out the woodcutter’s old iron axe. The man’s face lit up, and he said, “Yes, this one is mine.”

The river god was very pleased with his honesty. He not only gave the poor man his iron axe but also gifted him the golden and silver axes as a reward. The woodcutter returned home happily and told everyone what had happened. From that day, people in the village realized that honesty always brings peace and reward.

Moral: Honesty is the best policy.
